- 3 ząbki - czosnek
- 1 mała - papryka czerwona
- 2 sztuki - marchewka
- 250 g - soczewica czerwona
- 2 łyżeczki - olej kokosowy
- 400 g - pomidory krojone w zalewie
- 2 łyżki - koncentrat pomidorowy
- 1 i 1/4 l - woda (lub bulion warzywny)
- 3-4 łyżeczki - cukier trzcinowy
- 1/2 łyżeczka - liść selera (suszony; opcjonalnie)
- 1/2 łyżeczki - kurkuma
- 1/4 łyżeczki - kolendra mielona
- 1/4 łyżeczki - papryka słodka
- szczypta - pieprz cayenne
- szczypta - imbir
- szczypta - cynamon
- szczypta - gorczyca biała (mielona)
- ilość wg uznania - sól himalajska
- ilość wg uznania - pieprz czarny
- 1 łyżeczka - ocet balsamiczny

Sposób przygotowania
- Czosnek i cebulę drobno posiekaj. Paprykę i marchewkę pokrój w słupki. Soczewicę płucz tak długo aż woda będzie przejrzysta (czerwona soczewica nie wymaga wcześniejszego namaczania).
- W garnku rozgrzej olej kokosowy. Wrzuć cebulę, zeszklij a następnie dodaj czosnek, paprykę i marchewkę. Smaż kilka minut. Następnie dodaj odsączoną soczewicę, pomidory krojone w zalewie, koncentrat pomidorowy i wrzącą wodę (lub bulion). Dorzuć wszystkie przyprawy oprócz octu balsamicznego i pietruszki. Przykryj i gotuj ok. 10-15 minut. Pilnuj czasu, ponieważ czerwona soczewica może szybko się rozgotować.
- Pod sam koniec gotowania dodaj ocet balsamiczny. Przed podaniem posyp zupę posiekaną natką pietruszki. Podawaj solo albo z pajdą chleba żytniego.
